My best friend turns twenty-five on Earth Day and I spent the afternoon baking organic treats for her party! What says happy birthday better than a good old-fashioned Apple Pie! I started with a vegan crust made with vegetable shortening and then filled it with macintosh and granny smith apples!

The hardest part will definitely be waiting until tomorrow night to eat this! Ahh! I should have made two… One for me… right now… and one for the party. Next time I’ll know better. Happy Birthday Shannyn!

After being harassed by friends and neighbours to do so for years, I’m finally agreeing to sell the treats I make to people, rather than give them away to my friends and family. The section of the website will be used to post the things I am working on/tinkering with that may eventually be offered for sale on the site! I will also post pictures of some of the nicer orders that I make, and maybe even blog about friends, family and some of the cafe’s that I frequent in my home-neighbourhood of Leslieville.

So this will be the “work in progress” section of the site. Any feedback you have is appreciated and I look forward to sharing this journey with you all! Thanks for dropping by. Also, haters and spam will be deleted with extreme prejudice. Mama didn’t raise no fool.

I saw a commercial for cinnamon buns from a can one night on TV and thought "mmm, good idea... minus the from a can part" and that was the day I realized that I could make these from scratch!

These are my (now famous hangover cure) cinnamon buns… I’m not sure if it is wise to offer these on demand, knowing full well that friends on mine have $16 right now that they’d likely be willing to spend on a dozen of these bad-boys…
